San Diego, California

Literature/English education and biology
What advice would you give to students visiting campus?
Ask lots of questions, especially questions that pertain to your individual interests. As a college student, it is so important to get involved in campus life. Figuring out during your visit which activities sound of interest to you will help you get a sense of what your experience at PLNU could look like. Also, dialogue with other students visiting that day as well. The college selection process can be stressful, and it helps to chat with other students who are in the same boat as you! Maybe you'll even see them again when you both attend PLNU!
What is your favorite free time activity?
I love trying new recipes, especially ones with ingredients that I'm not too familiar with. I also love cooking with new veggies (I used to work at an organic farm in San Diego!). Lately, I've been enjoying lots of summer veggies like heirloom tomatoes, summer squash, cucumber, and avocado.
What does everyone visiting San Diego HAVE to do?
A trip to San Diego is definitely not complete without a trip to Seaport Village, a cute shopping and dining area right on the San Diego Harbor. Afterwards, it's fun to take the ferry over to Coronado Island to visit the Hotel Del Coronado, see the shops, and have Greek food at Spiro's Gyros, the BEST Greek food in town!
