Meet Kaitlin

Kaitlin’s college experience has been life changing, but it hasn’t come without obstacles.

After being accepted and touring the school, Kaitlin knew PLNU was where she was meant to be. But despite her calling to the campus, she had concerns regarding finances. At first, these concerns threatened to keep her from attending. But after doing some research, she discovered there were options that could help pave the way financially. Pieced together from scholarships, grants, work-study, and loans, Kaitlin’s patchwork of financial aid made it possible for her to pursue her dream of studying psychology and one day becoming a therapist for teens.

Looking back, Kaitlin can see how those efforts led to a valuable, well-rounded college experience, and taught her a lot in the process.

"I have learned to really get to know the student financial services team, ask questions, and talk to other people who have received financial aid. I have also gotten involved with many clubs, two on campus jobs, and two academic honor societies. The more you become involved, the more sources and opportunities you will have to receive aid… and even if it’s only a few hundred dollars, everything adds up in the end."
